Biography/ Professional summary
Sushmita Rani Saha is an alumna of the 1st Batch of the Faculty of Agriculture, Sylhet Agricultural University. She is currently serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Crop Botany and Tea Production Technology at Sylhet Agricultural University. She completed her B.Sc. Ag. (Hons.) and M.S. in Crop Botany from SAU, and later pursued an M.Sc. in Mediterranean Forestry and Natural Resources Management through the University of Lisbon, Portugal, and Tuscia University, Italy.
Her academic and professional journey reflects a strong commitment to crop botany, tea production technology, forestry, natural resource management, and agricultural education. Her research contributions include work on crop morphology, yield attributes, and regional crop performance, including studies on okra cultivation in the Sylhet region. As a faculty member and researcher, she continues to contribute to teaching, research, and the development of plant and crop science at Sylhet Agricultural University.
