Suranjit Baishnab

Suranjit Baishnab is an alumnus of the Faculty of Agriculture, Sylhet Agricultural University, Session 2012–13. He grew up in Kabirpur village of Baniachong, Habiganj, in the heart of Bangladesh’s haor landscape. From his early schooling at a BRAC school to achieving strong academic results in SSC and HSC, his journey reflects discipline, family support, resilience, and a deep commitment to self-improvement.

After beginning his university life at Sylhet Agricultural University, he gradually expanded himself beyond academics through literature, politics, sports, organizations, and wider social learning. His path was not free from struggle; family hardship, financial pressure, and uncertainty tested him deeply. Yet, through determination, private tutoring, disciplined preparation, and strong self-belief, he continued moving forward. He was recommended as an Agriculture Extension Officer through the 41st BCS, fulfilling a promise to himself and his family. His story represents perseverance, dignity, gratitude, and the spirit of serving family, farmers, and the country through public service.
