Tanjila Fareha Rafa

Tanjila Fareha Rafa is an alumna of the 10th Batch of the Faculty of Agriculture, Sylhet Agricultural University. She completed her B.Sc. in Agriculture from SAU and later built a career path beyond traditional agricultural fields by developing expertise in student counseling, communication, content writing, international education, and higher education administration. She is currently pursuing a Master of Education in Student Affairs in Higher Education at Texas State University, USA, supported by a Bobcat Fellowship, and serves as a Graduate Assistant in the Online Student Success Department.

Her journey reflects courage, reinvention, and the power of interdisciplinary growth. Although she began her academic life in agriculture, she gradually discovered her strengths in communication, student support, mental health awareness, writing, and education services. Before moving to the United States, she worked in Bangladesh’s international education sector as a student counselor, consultant, relationship manager, content writer, and communication professional. Her story is especially inspiring for students who feel uncertain about their original academic path, showing that an agriculture background can still open doors to global higher education, student affairs, and professional leadership.
