Biography/ Professional summary
Jarin Yasmin Synthia is an alumna of the 10th Batch of the Faculty of Agriculture, Sylhet Agricultural University. She completed her B.Sc. in Agriculture and later pursued her master’s in the Department of Crop Botany and Tea Production Technology at SAU, graduating with an outstanding CGPA of 4.00 out of 4.00. She is currently a Ph.D. student in the Department of Agricultural Biology, Laboratory of Horticultural Sciences, at Osaka Metropolitan University, Japan, supported through the MEXT Scholarship.
Her journey reflects resilience, faith, discipline, and self-belief. From the challenges of daily commuting during her SAU undergraduate life to balancing research, tuition, and job preparation during her master’s, she gradually shaped her academic direction toward plant science and horticultural research. Her story is also deeply connected with teaching; while pursuing her Ph.D. in Japan, she is working as a teacher in an English language school. Her academic path represents a powerful example of patience, hard work, and trusting the right opportunity when it arrives.
